# Rate Limits

Rate limits control request volume to prevent abuse and manage costs.

## What's coming

* **Per-user limits.** Set maximum requests per minute for individual users.
* **Per-team limits.** Apply limits at the workspace level.
* **Per-server limits.** Control total throughput to specific MCP servers.
* **Custom windows.** Configure limits per second, minute, hour, or day.
* **Graceful handling.** Return clear error messages when limits are hit.
